Town of Lawrence

TEMPORARY WATER SHUTOFF NOTICE to Mahogany/Lawrence Drive Area Residents:

The Town has been notified by the contractor completing utility work in the Lawrence Drive area that a section of existing water main at the intersection of Mahogany and Lawrence Drive will be slated to be relocated next Tuesday, June 25th starting at 8:00am.

Flyers are being distributed to homes in the neighborhood today and tomorrow, as we have just been made aware of the schedule for this event today. Additionally, we've made this Facebook post to spread the word earlier as well.

While this relocation work is being completed on Tuesday, water will be shut off to the area which will affect homes on Mahogany Trail/Court/Circle, Boxwood and Lacewood. Please take note that you will not have water service starting at 8:00am on Tuesday. The water will be turned back on in sections as the work is completed through the day, but it is anticipated to be turned back on fully no later than 4:00pm, if not earlier in the day depending on progress.

This will not affect the Orion's Run subdivision to the north (Pisces).

We apologize for this inconvenience and hope that those who will be home or need water during this time take any necessary steps to be sure you have drinking water and/or water available for sink/toilet use.

Reconstruction of Yellow Briar Drive (south half between Prevea and Robinson Metal) will begin next week and is anticipated to be completed within 3 weeks. The roadway will be reconstructed (including widening on the western side) in the business park section, not the residential neighborhood. Traffic will be restricted in this area and residents who live to the north are asked to utilize Crimson Court/Sand Acres Dr for access during this time.

In addition, the Town will be resurfacing or final paving the following roads in July: Foxwood Court, Pepper Ridge Court, Mahogany Circle. There will be some patching work completed on other Bain Brook roads, such as Skyline Oaks

Shoulders will be paved in the following areas, as well: Lawrence Drive at Little Rapids Road, French Road north of Freedom Road.

Thank you very much for your patience and cooperation during road paving operations this coming month.

I second the post about Hickory. Please give us an update as soon as possible!

Maybe a permanent closure of that road past Robinson would be the best for all involved..residents and Robinson..dead end right before the homes and add some landscaping..

What’s the update re: Hickory? Still lots of potholes.

any known plans on doing something w/ Scheuring Rd/Hart Gravel Rd, west of Packerland?
